Quantity Surveyor A great opportunity to join a specialist contractor working on a prestigious long term framework with an established client in the defence sector. Our clients are experts in structural steel fabrications, offering clients within the marine and engineering industries a high-quality design and installation service suited to their bespoke requirements. The role is based in our clients offices on the fabrication site in Wallsend, Newcastle.

The selected candidate will work 40 hours over 4 days per week. This role offers the ability to refine current processes and someone to assume responsibility for all of the cost control matters for a key project within the business.

Requirements Relevant experience in quality surveying, cost control or finance

Previous experience within the manufacturing/fabrication industry in a similar role is desirable,



although not essential as candidates with the right mix of transferrable skills will also be highly suitable.

Robust internal and external stakeholder management

Attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure

Degree qualified or equivalent (desirable)

Excellent with Excel (a must)

Outstanding communicator (a must)

Previous experience with Earned Value Management (desirable) Responsibilities Responsible for all cost control matters on the client framework contract

Formulation and submission of monthly payment application

Reconciliation of Work in Progress

Client engagement and contract administration

Weekly and monthly KPI / metric production

Liaison with the project team

Update current processes where relevant to suit the role

Change management and administration
