Full time permanent position About Role Green by Nature currently manages many prestigious sports turf sites across greater Melbourne, and this is a unique opportunity for a Racecourse Supervisor to work within our team at Caulfield Racecourse working alongside one of Racing's most prestigious clubs - The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the racecourse and grounds maintenance, ensuring the venue is presented to the highest standard year-round. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with your team to keep the grounds looking their best and operations running smoothly, particularly on race days. The role includes weekend and race-day work throughout the year, so flexibility around race meetings and key club events is essential.

Responsibilities Include Receive briefing from MRC Track management at the commencement of the day and carry out instructions, delegating to the rest of the team when required; Lead the preparation and maintenance of the race track and surrounding grounds.

Assist with the setup and pack-down of race meetings and club events.

Manage turf care, including irrigation, fertilisation, and track renovations.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of machinery and equipment.

Coordinate maintenance and repairs across club facilities and infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and SafeWork SA regulations.

Lead, supervise,



and support the grounds maintenance team.

About You

Experience in grounds, turf, sports field or racecourse maintenance is essential

Must have a valid Manual Drivers licence Must have previous experience managing teams

Must be available to work on assigned racing event days

National Police Check & Working with Children Check (Willingness to obtain)

Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements.
