About Us

Bright Automotive & Towing Pty Ltd has proudly served the Alpine region since 1987, providing RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance and accident towing services.

Our operating area stretches from the alpine resorts of Mt Hotham, Dinner Plain and Falls Creek through to Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth, the surrounding Valleys and districts. Our team has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability and expertise in all weather conditions and terrain.

About the Role

As a Roadside Patrol Mechanic, you’ll be the face of RACV in the region, responding to member call-outs, diagnosing vehicle faults, carrying out roadside repairs and arranging towing when required.





You’ll work independently while being supported by an experienced local team. Every day brings a new challenge, whether you’re helping a family continue their holiday, assisting a local resident, or responding to a breakdown in the snowfields.

To ensure fast response times, applicants must live (or be willing to relocate) within approximately 30–40km of Bright.

What We’re Looking For

- Trade-qualified mechanic or experienced equivalent
- High-quality 3rd or 4th-year apprentices encouraged to apply
- Minimum 2–3 years automotive industry experience required for non-trade qualified applicants
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment (preferred)
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude and professional presentation
- MR Licence (preferred) and full Australian Driver’s Licence
- Strong team player with the ability to also work independently when required
- Availability to work weekends, including every second weekend as part of a rotating roster
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours roster
- Permanent Australian work rights essential

What You’ll Do Provide RACV emergency roadside assistance

? Carry out towing and vehicle recovery services (where qualified)

? Diagnose faults and perform minor roadside repairs

? Deliver exceptional customer service and reassurance

? Assist with workshop duties and fleet maintenance
