ACFS is a leading Empty Container Depot with facilities across Australia. We now have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Container Surveyor - DPI Accredited (AO) for the job function ECI3001 to join our busy team in Port Botany, you will be required to attend ACFS e-Rail Empty Depot In St Mary’s Sydney occasionally to certify Containers.

What your Day could look like:

Inspect and document container damage in accordance with client criteria and regulatory standard.

Comply with legislation, organisational and industry standards

Complete repair estimates detailing the expected labour time, repair method and materials required, ensuring that all estimates are written accurately and clearly.

Maintain a professional rapport with all industry contacts.

Deliver repair estimates to the office at regular intervals throughout the day to ensure effective processing.

Ensure all other daily, weekly and ad hoc paperwork is kept in an orderly manner and passed over to the Office within the required timeframe.

Respond to Client queries and requests in the required format and timeframe.

Provide immediate, honest and accurate incident reporting to the Depot Manager in accordance with Company procedures and participate in the creation of measures to prevent the reoccurrence of such incidents.





What you can bring to us:

Ideally a minimum of two years’ experience in surveying in the shipping or container industry preferred.

IICL accreditation highly regarded

Organised with effective time management skills

Knowledge of shipping container systems processes and procedures

General administration and computer skills

Good level of physical fitness

DPI accredited to conduct internal and external empty container inspections for export on behalf of the Australian Government

Understand your role and responsibilities as an AO in performing inspections of empty containers for export
