Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is currently seeking an experienced Raptor Keeper to join our Wildlife team!
This hands-on role is responsible for supporting the daily care, husbandry, training, and welfare of the sanctuary’s raptors. You’ll help maintain industry-leading standards across animal exhibits and housing while ensuring every animal’s physical and behavioural needs remain the highest priority.
As a Raptor Keeper, you’ll monitor animal health, maintain clean and secure exhibits, assist with training programs, and support the delivery of secure and respectful animal visitor interactions. You’ll also conduct informative presentations, engage with guests, and help communicate Lone Pine’s wildlife conservation messages.
Working closely with the Head of Raptors and wider Wildlife team, you’ll contribute to continuous improvements in husbandry practices,
animal experiences, and visitor engagement across the sanctuary. Experience working with raptors or other avian species is preferred, with free-flight bird show experience highly regarded.
This role suits someone who is confident, observant, passionate about animal welfare, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
