Description The Opportunity Join a leading financial services organisation in a role that will strengthen your portfolio legal career with a highly respected business.

- Duration: 6-12 months
- Arrangement: Full time (hybrid)
- Location: Melbourne

About You You are a seasoned regulatory/compliance lawyer with a minimum of 8 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations. Your Experience & Expertise:

- Experience as a financial services compliance/regulatory lawyer, ideally gained in private practice, in-house, or within a financial services organisation
- Demonstrated experience advising on compliance obligations in a financial services environment
- Ability to identify, interpret and apply legal and regulatory obligations relevant to financial services businesses
- Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act, particularly as it relates to financial services, corporate conduct, disclosure, governance and compliance obligations
- Experience documenting compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, controls and obligation registers
- Ability to implement compliance frameworks in a practical business setting, including working with operational teams to embed legal and regulatory requirements
- Experience advising internal stakeholders on regulatory risk, compliance breaches, remediation issues and governance processes

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex legal and regulatory issues quickly
- Commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives




- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to legal and compliance issues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Adaptability and confidence operating in a fast-moving financial services environment

Requirements:

- Current Australian practising certificate
- Right to live and work in Australia
