Description The Opportunity This is an opportunity to join our Advance team within Ashurst Perkins Coie.

- Duration: 6 months
- Arrangement: Full time (hybrid)
- Location: Brisbane
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting and managing PEXA settlements end-to-end, including lodgement of documents, verification of settlement figures and coordination with all parties to ensure timely completion
- Assisting with Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) searches, registrations and discharges
- Supporting the delivery of BAU transactional matters alongside senior team members
- Maintaining client relationships through responsive, quality work product

About You You are an experienced paralegal with a minimum of 3 years' experience, bringing a strong track record working within a law firm or legal services organisation. Required Experience & Expertise:

- PEXA settlements experience - demonstrated hands-on experience using the PEXA platform to manage and complete property settlements, including familiarity with workspace management, financial settlement schedules and lodgement processes
- Experience working in a legal support, paralegal, or equivalent capacity within a law firm or legal services environment
- Strong understanding of Australian property and real estate transactions
- Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently under tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Familiarity with high-volume, process-driven legal work
- Prior experience in banking and finance transactional support
- Knowledge of broader funds and finance documentation

- Professional and trustworthy, exercising discretion when handling confidential client and transaction information

Other requirements:

- A current Australian practising certificate is not essential
- Right to live and work in Australia
