The Role
We are seeking a proactive Recruitment Officer to deliver end-to-end recruitment activities across the business. Working closely with hiring managers, recruitment agencies, and the HR team, you will source and attract high-quality candidates, support efficient recruitment processes, and contribute to successful hiring outcomes across the organisation.
You will
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities across the business.
- Prepare and manage job advertisements, proactively source and engage quality candidates, and maintain talent pools for current and future recruitment needs.
- Liaise with hiring managers and external recruitment agencies to coordinate recruitment activities and support successful hiring outcomes.
- Screen applications, conduct initial phone interviews, coordinate interviews, and obtain feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Conduct reference checks, coordinate pre-employment screening, and maintain regular communication with candidates, providing timely updates and feedback.
- Review and maintain position descriptions to ensure they remain accurate and current.
- Identify and implement innovative recruitment strategies, sourcing methods and recruitment processes to attract high-quality candidates.
- Maintain recruitment records, reports and metrics to support workforce planning and continuous improvement.
- Provide general HR and operational support across the business as required.
The Person
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Experience using recruitment platforms such as SEEK, LinkedIn,
and other candidate sourcing tools, with the ability to proactively source candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Strong understanding of recruitment practices, including working with external recruitment agencies and determining appropriate recruitment approaches.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment activities and competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced using HRIS systems.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Previous recruitment experience within the residential building industry (highly desirable).
