Pathways Health Management – Northbridge NSW

Pathways Sailors Bay is a boutique aged care residence located in Northbridge. We are passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment where residents can thrive.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Diversional Therapist to join our Lifestyle Team and play a key role in enriching our residents' lives through meaningful activities, connection, and person-centred care.

About the Role

As a Diversional Therapist, you will create, coordinate, and deliver engaging lifestyle and wellbeing programs that enhance residents' physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing.

You will work closely with residents, families, and the broader care team to create meaningful experiences that promote independence, connection, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver engaging lifestyle and wellness programs




- Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to resident interests and needs
- Support residents to maintain independence, purpose, and social connection
- Provide meaningful engagement opportunities for residents living with dementia
- Coordinate special events, entertainment, celebrations, and community outings
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members
- Complete assessments, care plans, and documentation in line with aged care requirements
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment

About You

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Leisure & Health, Diversional Therapy, or an equivalent qualification
- Experience working in aged care, healthcare, disability, or community services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, creative, and resident-focused approach
- Experience supporting people living with dementia (desirable)
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current Police Check and relevant vaccinations
