Job Description

Baxter Transport is currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join their service department located in Southern Riverina town of Berrigan NSW. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Proven experience as Motor Mechanic /Automotive Technician
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Perform scheduled services (oil changes, brake checks, tyre rotations)
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Maintain detailed service logs and repair histories for each vehicle
- Document parts used, labour hours, and service outcomes
- Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering parts
- Provide technical advice and recommendations for vehicle replacements or upgrades
- Must adhere to WH&S; and environmental starndards




- The ability to perform scheduled maintenance servicing
- The capacity to service and repair vehicles as per the repair order within the allocated time
- Positive verbal and written communications skills

Skills & Abilities:

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with telematics and predictive maintenance system
- Show initiative to identify and solve problems individually or as part of a team
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience. Hours: fulltime. Application opens on 7th of August 2026 and closes on 7th of September 2026.
