Data Analyst (Affirmative measure - disability employment)

We are seeking highly motivated and creative Data Analysts to join our Compliance Engagement Group, Frontline Operations and Smarter Data Program business areas.
As a Data Analyst, you will use your expertise in data analysis, modelling techniques, and business knowledge to address business problems and support data driven decision making.
You will be responsible for analysing, interpreting and integrating data to deliver insights and analytical products that support strategic and operational outcomes. You’ll use a variety of tools, languages and technical knowledge to research, extract, analyse, and interpret data with a strong commitment to quality assurance, re-usability and the effective management of data sources and solutions.

Our ideal candidate:
- has strong practical experience independently using a variety of tools, scripts and languages including SQL (e.g. Teradata, MSSQL, Postgres or similar) and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Cognos or similar) to extract, transform and present data in a workplace environment
- uses critical, analytical and lateral thinking to analyse and interpret complex datasets, delivering clear, fit-for-purpose outputs (e.g. reports, dashboards or briefings)
that support business outcomes
- maintains the quality of analytical outputs, including applying quality assurance processes, testing solutions, peer-reviewing code and using version control tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab)
- translates complex or abstract technical information into clear, accessible insights tailored to a range of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
- shares technical expertise, provides guidance to others, and contributes to delivering high-quality, client-focused outcomes within a team environment.
Qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or industry certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, Power BI, Teradata) will be highly regarded but not essential.

This recruitment process is being used to fill both ongoing and non-ongoing positions. Non-ongoing positions may be offered for up to 18 months.
Non-ongoing vacancies have the potential to become ongoing. These non-ongoing positions may become ongoing within the next 12 months. Should a position become ongoing then the merit pool established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy.
