We are now looking for a fully qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Williamstown.
You must be able to work well in a team, have a Certificate 3 & 4 in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and Certificate 3 in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology and worked as a Diesel Motor Mechanic for over 1 year fully trained and be able to start immediately. We are offering $75K - $85K
- detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines in heavy plant and vehicles
- dismantling and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components
- repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components
- perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- reassemble engines and parts after being repaired
- test and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
