Due to ongoing company growth throughout North Queensland, we are seeking reliable, motivated, and experienced Refrigeration Tradesperson to join our Mechanical Construction Department in Townsvilleon a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate/s will be primarily responsible for carrying out new installation and refurbishment works on Industrial and Commercial Air-Conditioning systems for Peak ARE’s diverse and extensive Client base.

About the Role

As a Construction Refrigeration Tradesperson at Peak ARE, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation works on large-scale commercial and industrial refrigeration and chilled water systems. Working across our diverse and growing client base, you will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

The role involves installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining refrigeration plant and associated mechanical services, interpreting plans and specifications, and working collaboratively with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to deliver successful project outcomes. You will also contribute to maintaining site safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service while supporting the efficient delivery of projects.

Skills and experience To be successful in this role and join our team, ideally you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

- Commitment to the production of high-quality work and the ability and desire to always deliver exceptional customer service.
- The ability to work autonomously and within our team
- Previous experience with Commercial Chilled water systems would be highly advantageous, however not compulsory
- Knowledge of refrigeration and chilled water installation principles and best industry practice
- Knowledge of basic construction principles
- High quality of workmanship and attention to detail
- Leadership qualities

Essential Criteria, Qualifications and License Requirements

- General Construction Card
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Current Refrigeration Handling (ARCtick) Licence
- Security clearances and Blue Card – or ability to obtain
- QBCC Workers Licence
- Additional licences highly regarded
- Simpro Knowledge (preferred, not essential)
