**About the role
As a Midwife at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), you will play a vital role in delivering safe, contemporary and evidence-based care to women, babies and families throughout their maternity journey. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care while partnering with women to support informed decision-making and positive health outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
Develop in partnership with women individualised care plans for antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care and may extend to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood and childcare.
Maintain woman and baby safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the woman and baby using comprehensive midwifery assessment and intervention skills.
