Job Description:

As a Disability Support Worker at MDSS, you will play a key role in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. You will be responsible for:

Providing day-to-day care for participants, including:

- Available for shift work - including sleepovers, weekends early mornings and evenings
- Personal care whilst ensuring privacy and personal choices are upheld
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks and hygiene
- Support individuals in accessing the community and participating in social and recreational activities
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviour
- Administering medication





Requirements:

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Cert III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent qualification - or working towards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to work overnight and work weekends when rostered
- Current NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
- Current Drivers License
- Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- You must be available for a variety of shift times including sleep over shifts.
