What You'll Be Doing
The role will lead after hour's operational management and provide professional advice and clinical leadership expertise to NBH Mental Health In-Patient Units (Adult MH 3C & 3B), Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) Older Persons Unit (3D),
Emergency Department and Consultation Liaison mental health and also supports the community mental health services located at Brookvale Community Health Centre (BCHC) site.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and demonstrated experience in the specialty of mental health nursing.
- Advanced knowledge of, and skill with patient flow systems, legislation, policy and procedures and ability to provide leadership to meeting bed management and patient flow objectives across acute mental health and drug and alcohol settings.
- Proven ability to provide leadership, manage resources and lead change effectively across a complex service with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing and challenging situations, including clinical and corporate risk in a timely manner and human resource management abilities including an understanding of industrial relations and associated processes and procedures.
