About the Role

As a Business Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio while providing leadership and mentorship to a team of accountants.

You will work closely with management to deliver exceptional client outcomes, improve business processes, and support the continued growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a diverse portfolio of business and individual clients across a broad range of industries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic advice.
- Prepare, review, and oversee tax compliance obligations, including income tax returns, BAS, IAS,



and financial statements.
- Stay current with changes in taxation legislation and provide guidance to clients and team members.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
- Delegate and review work effectively to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist clients with business planning, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and growth strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows, and client service delivery.
- Champion the adoption of technology, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across the practice.
- Support onboarding and transition of new clients.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
- Participate in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the firm.

About You

- Minimum 8 years' experience within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
- Demonstrated experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team.
- Robust technical knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.




- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to drive initiatives and implement change.
- A genuine passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Xero, HandiSoft, and other accounting and taxation software.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
