Looking for a temporary role as Ranger?

Are you passionate about protecting Queensland’s natural areas and skilled inmanaging infrastructure and assets? Join our team as a OO5 Ranger (Assets),based in Rockhampton.You’lltravel regularly to protected areas and State forestsacross central Queensland, working in some of the State’s most stunning locations.In this role, you will plan, deliver, and report on infrastructure and asset programs, aswell as develop and coordinate the annual maintenance program for ranger basesand management and visitor infrastructure. Depending on the task, you may leadteams, collaborate with others, or work independently. Travel is a key part of therole, often requiring you to work and camp in semi-remote locations.You’llalsosupport fire management duties, including bushfire suppression, andassistwithother emergency responses.



A reasonable level of physical fitness isrequired.

To succeed,you’llneed to be organised, practical, and comfortable workingoutdoors. A White Card for Construction is essential, and experience in procurementor managing small to medium-scale construction projects is highly desirable. Acurrent, unrestricted manual driver’s licence is mandatory, asyou’lldrive governmentvehicles, including four-wheel drives, as part of your duties.
