About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mixer/Baker to join our production team at our Moorabbin location in Victoria. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in our daily bakery operations. As Mixer/Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough, managing mixing equipment, and ensuring all products meet our exacting quality standards. This position is crucial to our ability to deliver fresh, quality baked goods to our customers consistently.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and mixing dough batches using commercial mixing equipment, following established recipes and procedures
- Monitoring dough consistency, temperature and fermentation times to ensure product quality
- Operating and maintaining bakery equipment including mixers, dividers and other production machinery
- Assisting with shaping, moulding and preparing dough for proofing and baking
- Supporting the baking process and ensuring products are produced according to specifications
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the mixing and preparation areas
- Following food safety protocols and maintaining proper documentation




- Collaborating with other team members to meet daily production targets
- Contributing to continuous improvement of production processes and efficiency

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Mixer/Baker or in a similar bakery production role
- Strong knowledge of dough mixing techniques, fermentation processes and dough handling
- Proficiency in operating commercial bakery equipment and machinery
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements in a commercial kitchen
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures precisely whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in a warm bakery setting
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Team player mentality with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work early morning or shift-based hours as required by bakery operations
- Relevant food handling certifications are highly desirable
- Experience in artisanal or craft baking is advantageous
