Reporting into our commercial leadership team and working closely with Project Managers and operational stakeholders, you'll play a key role in managing commercial performance across active Civil & Mining projects. This position is ideal for an experienced Contracts Administrator ready to step into a more senior role with greater commercial influence and future leadership opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing contract administration across multiple civil and mining projects
- Reviewing contract terms and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Preparing, negotiating and administering variations and claims
- Managing contract correspondence, notices and formal communications
- Supporting Project Managers with commercial reporting, forecasting and cost control
- Preparing and submitting monthly progress claims
- Maintaining contract compliance registers and contractual records
- Monitoring project KPIs and reporting on commercial performance
- Working with finance, legal and operational teams to resolve commercial matters
- Supporting subcontract administration and procurement activities
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in Contract Administration or Commercial Management
- Background within civil construction, mining or related infrastructure projects
- Proven experience managing variations, claims and contract correspondence
- Strong understanding of Australian construction and mining contracts
- Experience partnering closely with Project Managers in live project environments
- Commercial acumen with strong cost analysis and risk management capability
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Relevant qualification in Commerce, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or similar highly regarded
