About the Role

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Head of Primary provides leadership from Prep to Year 6, leading a team of dedicated educators and working collaboratively within the College's Senior Leadership Team.

This highly visible leadership position is responsible for driving educational excellence, leading strategic initiatives, fostering a positive and high-performing culture, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for students, staff and families.

As Head of Primary, you will:

- Provide exceptional educational and strategic leadership across Primary
- Inspire and develop teachers through coaching, mentoring and qualified growth
- Lead curriculum innovation, teaching excellence and continuous improvement
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive and student-centred learning environment
- Build strong partnerships with students, families and the broader College community
- Oversee operational effectiveness, student wellbeing, risk management and compliance
- Champion child safeguarding and promote a strong culture of care and belonging
- Drive initiatives aligned to the College Strategic Plan and future vision

About You





You are a highly respected educational leader with a demonstrated history of leading successful primary learning environments. You bring a strong commitment to educational excellence, contemporary pedagogy, staff development and student wellbeing.

You will ideally possess:

- Significant leadership experience within a Primary or P-12 school setting
- Proven ability to lead teaching and learning improvement initiatives
- Strong strategic thinking, organisational and change management capabilities
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- A commitment to child safety, wellbeing and pastoral care
- Alignment with the values and Christian ethos of Moreton Bay College
- Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration
- Experience with IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) frameworks and inquiry-based learning will be highly regarded.
