Salary: Up to £27,831.68 per annum (dependent on qualifications)

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (38 hours per week) | A mixture of early (07:30 - 14:30), late (14:00-22:00) and double (07:30-22:00) shifts on a three week rolling rota.

Essential: Full UK Driving Manual Licence

As a Residential Childcare Worker at Falkland House School Perth, you'll become a trusted role model, supporting children and young people with autism and additional support needs to build confidence, develop independence and achieve things they never thought possible.

This is far more than a care role. You'll help create a safe, nurturing home where young people feel valued, supported and encouraged to thrive. Whether you're helping with daily routines, exploring the local community, celebrating milestones or simply being there when a young person needs someone to talk to, you'll make a genuine difference every single day.

No previous experience? No problem. If you have compassion, resilience and a genuine desire to help others, we'll provide a comprehensive induction, fully funded training and ongoing development, including support to achieve the qualifications required for SSSC registration.

What You'll Be Doing Every day is different, but you'll spend your time:

- Supporting children and young people with daily routines, independence and personal development.
- Planning and taking part in fun, engaging activities after school, at weekends and during school holidays.
- Supporting young people to access community activities, develop life skills and build confidence.
- Creating a warm, safe and nurturing home workplace where young people feel valued and supported.




- Building positive, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
- Encouraging positive behaviour using therapeutic, relationship-based approaches.
- Working closely with education and clinical colleagues to provide consistent, holistic support.
- Maintaining accurate records and helping deliver the highest standards of care and safeguarding.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has We're looking for people with compassion, resilience and a genuine desire to help young people succeed. Experience in residential care, education or supporting children is welcomed, but it's not essential. If you've worked in hospitality, retail, the armed forces, outdoor education, customer service, youth work or another people-focused role, your transferable skills could make you an excellent Residential Childcare Worker.

The Location Falkland House School Perth is an independent residential school for boys and girls aged from 12 - 20. Our young people have a range of Additional Support Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society. We have can accommodate up to 24 young people. We are part of the Options Autism and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.
