About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our retail stores. This is a hands-on role that is pivotal in driving store performance, improving cost efficiency, and ensuring that store presentation and service standards align with Miniso’s management expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to overseas market challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Management:

- Supervise and support the operations of multiple stores, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor performance, assess operational standards, and provide feedback to store managers.

1. Sales and Profitability:

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and performance targets for all stores in the area.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

1. Team Leadership and Development:

- Recruit, train, and mentor store managers, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth.




- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and support to help store teams meet their goals.

1. Customer Experience:

- Ensure all stores deliver an exceptional customer experience, aligning with Miniso’s service standards.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.

1. Visual Merchandising and Marketing:

- Oversee store presentation and visual merchandising standards, ensuring consistency across all locations.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to implement in-store promotions and campaigns.

1. Compliance and Operational Efficiency:

- Ensure all stores comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including health and safety regulations.
- Optimize store operations by managing inventory, stock levels, and operational costs.

1. New Store Openings:

- Plan and manage the opening of new stores, including recruitment, training, and initial operations setup.
- Support the development of strategies for current market entries and store expansion.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a similar role as a Retail Area Manager or in retail operations leadership.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop store teams.
3. Hands-on and self-motivated, with a strong passion for the retail industry, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to achieving targets.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
5. Keen awareness of market changes and the ability to adapt swiftly.
6. Full availability and flexibility to travel across NSW, ACT, QLD and WA.
