Electrical Design Engineer

As our new Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be a valued part of the Industrial EI&C; team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Role responsibilities

- In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects
- A fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards
- Client interfacing
- Demonstrated experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
- Experience with power systems software
- Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

As well as experience in a similar electrical engineering role previously.

Requirements

- Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
- A minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience working on industrial projects,



delivering process plant projects, energy sector, water sector or mining projects ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules.
- Applied knowledge of ‘in-plant’ electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems
- Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067.
- Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design
- Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to support project deliverables
