We are looking for a casual Retail Sales Assistant who is confident, proactive, and genuinely enjoys talking to customers. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced — perfect for someone who takes initiative, stays busy, and can naturally lead a conversation to a sale.
You will be responsible for delivering great customer service, recommending products, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily retail operations across our Pet Land stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and confidently start conversations
- Recommend products and provide helpful, practical advice
- Drive sales through genuine customer engagement
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
- Restock shelves, unpack deliveries, and rotate stock
- Process sales accurately through POS
- Support the team by staying active and finding tasks without being asked
What We’re Looking For
- Someone who loves talking to people and can build rapport easily
- Confident, friendly, and comfortable recommending products
- Proactive — you don’t wait to be told what to do
- Mature, reliable, and takes pride in their work
- Physically capable of lifting bags up to 20kg
- Enjoys staying busy and contributing to a positive team environment
- Retail or customer service experience is highly regarded
- Warm, approachable communication style
