Remat Pty Ltd operates recycling depots in Bathurst and Lithgow, providing recycling and resource recovery services to our local communities.

Our Bathurst

Return and Earn Depot is a busy, fast-paced site where customers return eligible containers for a refund, and we're looking for a hands-on Depot Hand to help run the site day to day.

About the Role

This is a full-time, physically active role that keeps our Return and Earn depot running smoothly. You'll be on your feet all day, moving between machines, assisting customers, and making sure the site is clean, efficient, and welcoming. Hours will be Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8am – 4:30pm, with the possibility of Saturday work 8am – 4pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Run the day-to-day operation of the Return and Earn depot

- Lift and move bins and bags of containers for customers
- Keep the machines clean and running smoothly throughout the day
- Monitor machines and quickly attend to jams, faults, or servicing needs
- Deliver excellent customer service, making the experience quick and easy for every customer
- Keep the depot site clean, tidy, and protected at all times




- Sort and manage containers and materials in line with site procedures
- Follow safe manual handling and workplace health and safety practices

About You

- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on, active role involving frequent lifting

- Happy to be on your feet and moving around the site all day
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well without close supervision
- Quick thinking and practical when it comes to keeping machines running
- Previous experience in a depot, warehouse, or customer-facing role is an advantage but not essential
- Available Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8am – 4:30pm, with flexibility for occasional Saturday shifts 8am – 4pm
