Our client is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Transformation Lead to join a significant transformation program within a large and complex organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior transformation professional who can combine delivery leadership, risk and compliance expertise, and stakeholder engagement capability to support business-wide initiatives.

The role is suited to someone who is not a traditional Project Manager, but rather a hybrid professional with experience leading transformation workstreams while also providing strong risk, governance, and compliance knowledge.

About the Role

As the Risk & Compliance Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for driving key transformation initiatives, working across business, technology, risk, and governance teams to deliver improved processes, controls, and operating outcomes.

You will act as a key link between strategic objectives and practical delivery, ensuring transformation activities are effectively planned, executed, and embedded.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead risk and compliance transformation initiatives across multiple business areas.
- Manage delivery of workstreams, including planning, dependencies, risks, issues, and reporting.
- Provide subject matter expertise across risk management, governance, compliance, and assurance practices.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to define requirements and deliver transformation outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and process improvement activities.




- Support the design and implementation of improved risk management processes and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational maturity, governance, and compliance capability.
- Provide clear communication and reporting to program leadership and stakeholders.
- Support change adoption and ensure sustainable business outcomes.

About You You will be an experienced transformation skilled with a proven background delivering complex risk, governance, or compliance initiatives.

You will ideally have

- Demonstrated experience as a Transformation Lead, Delivery Lead, Workstream Lead, Senior Project Manager, or similar role.
- Strong experience delivering Risk & Compliance Transformation programs.
- Solid understanding of risk management frameworks, governance processes, and compliance requirements.
- The ability to operate as both a delivery professional and a Risk/Compliance SME.
- Experience working with senior business stakeholders across complex environments.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in ambiguous environments.

Desirable Experience

- Experience within government, regulated industries, financial services, utilities, or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of governance, risk, assurance, compliance, cyber risk, or operational resilience frameworks.
- Experience delivering technology-enabled risk and compliance improvements.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO, NIST, ITIL, COBIT, or similar.
