About the Position

This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across project activities involving drainage, earthworks, and tipping operations. Working closely with subcontractors and site personnel, you will provide hands-on safety support, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and assist in maintaining secure work practices. This is a site-based night shift position suited to an experienced safety professional who enjoys working closely with frontline teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture on site
- Conduct site compliance checks and safety inspections
- Facilitate incident investigations and corrective actions
- Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification activities
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Support emergency response and first aid requirements
- Undertake drug and alcohol testing as required
- Monitor compliance with WHS and mining legislation
- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations

Skills and Experience Required





- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (mandatory)
- Experience in site-based safety advisory roles
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
- Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and site team
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Experience in civil, mining, or earthworks environments (highly regarded)
