Your new role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support and drive workplace health and safety initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, workshop, site-based and office operations.
Key responsibilities include
- Coordinating and maintaining health and safety management systems
- Ensuring compliance with Victorian OH&S; legislation and industry requirements
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and hazard identification activities
- Managing incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Supporting the development and delivery of safety training, inductions and toolbox talks
- Facilitating consultation with employees and promoting a positive safety culture
- Maintaining risk registers and monitoring corrective action close-outs
- Analysing safety data and preparing reports for leadership teams
- Providing practical health and safety support across operational and project environments
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator or similar role within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, heavy industry or a comparable workplace
- Sound knowledge of Victorian OH&S; legislation and risk management principles
- Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience delivering health and safety training and promoting safe work practices
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or higher will be highly regarded
- Exposure to ISO management systems, auditing, return-to-work or injury management processes is advantageous
- Current driving licence and Australian work rights
