They are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join the team in a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. This is a stand-alone role, offering the autonomy to lead the site's safety function while partnering closely with operational leaders to drive a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

The Role

As the site's Safety subject matter expert, you'll provide both strategic direction and hands-on operational support, ensuring compliance while embedding best practice across the business.

This role is ideal for an experienced safety professional who enjoys working closely with operations, influencing stakeholders and making a genuine impact within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include

- Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities across the site.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation, environmental requirements and company standards.




- Manage all aspects of Dangerous Goods, including storage, handling, transport and regulatory compliance.
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions and internal audits.
- Deliver HSE training and provide coaching to leaders and employees.
- Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Your Background

- Proven experience in an Safety leadership role within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, chemicals or another high-risk environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing Dangerous Goods and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Confident influencing and building relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
