Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide investment accounting services and operational tax reporting for our investment funds. Day-to-day administration sits with an external provider, so the role combines hands-on preparation of the accounts with oversight of outsourced work.

This suits someone with solid fund accounting experience behind them who wants broader exposure and more responsibility than a large, heavily siloed team can offer.

What you'll do

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in journals and ledgers
- Prepare monthly financial accounts and reconciliations, accurately and on time
- Complete reconciliations of positions, cash and P&L; across prime brokers and custodians, along with ad hoc requests and queries
- Manage and oversee external providers of outsourced investment accounting services, including review of NAVs and unit prices
- Assist with management and performance fee calculations, including high water marks and multiple share classes
- Prepare client reports and process capital activity, including subscriptions, redemptions and transfers
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers to provide the information they require
- Operational tax reporting: BAS,



income tax returns and distribution workpapers
- Support cash forecasting, FX and day-to-day treasury administration

What you'll bring

- Around 4 to 8 years' experience in fund accounting, at an administrator, a fund manager, or in financial services audit
- CA or CPA qualified
- Exposure to unit trusts and managed fund structures
- Some familiarity with equities, derivatives or prime brokerage is helpful, but we will teach the strategy specifics to the right person
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with fund accounting or portfolio systems
- Accuracy and follow-through: you notice when something doesn't reconcile and chase it down rather than moving past it
- Transparent communication, and the confidence to ask questions in a small team
- Broad exposure across fund vehicles, well beyond a single reporting line
- Direct mentoring from an experienced finance team, with room to grow
