MacNellies Workplace Safety is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Service Technician/Manager to join our team in Dalby, QLD. This is a full-time position that combines technical expertise with management responsibilities to oversee fire safety services and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing fire safety equipment whilst managing team operations and client relationships. This position is based in Dalby, QLD 4405 and offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in workplace safety across our region.

Key responsibilities

- Inspect, test, and maintain fire safety equipment including extinguishers, and emergency lighting
- Conduct site audits and assessments to identify fire safety risks and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation
- Respond to client enquiries and provide technical advice on fire safety matters
- Coordinate with clients to schedule service visits and manage project timelines
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and workplace safety legislation

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications as a Fire Service Technician or equivalent recognised certification in fire safety systems
- Current QBCC license- Portable Fire Equipment, Hydrants and Hose Reels
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in fire safety servicing, maintenance, or installation
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards relating to fire safety equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills and customer service focus




- Valuable personal presentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude to diagnose and resolve fire safety issues
- Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of WHS legislation
- Preferably, experience with fire safety compliance software and digital record-keeping systems
