Early Childhood Teacher - SDN North Sydney

SDN North Sydney is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher, responsible for 4–5-year-old room. The role requires passion for quality education, child safety and a great team player on a Max Term Contact that ends December 2026.
About The Role
This will include:
- Ability to lead educators, support team success, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the service, including acting as the responsible person when required
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of high-quality, play- based learning programs aligned with the EYLF
- Overseeing program delivery, team leadership, and safety
- Monitor daily operations while delivering high- quality inclusive learning experiences aligned with SDN values and philosophy to achieve positive outcomes for all children.
- Build positive meaningful respectful relationships with children, families, staff and the wider community.
- Ensure compliance with child safety, National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements while promoting positive outcomes for all children.
- Ability to model professional behaviour and positively influence the team.
About You
You will have experience and skills in the following:
- University qualifications in Early Childhood Education and registration with NESA
- Excellent understanding of current early childhood practice that is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework, and naturalistic, responsive early childhood intervention practices
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the implications for centres
- Working with Children Check (NSW) and Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging early learning experiences
- Child protection training and commitment to child safety
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration

Our North Sydney Centre is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with large outdoor natural spaces. The Centre offers early childhood and child-care to 75 children per day from birth to school.
