We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to support a major enterprise data and analytics program within a large, complex organisation.

Working closely with technical delivery leads, business stakeholders and data specialists, you will define, design and document trusted data assets that support reporting, analytics and business intelligence outcomes.

- Up to $1100 per day
- Contract to June 2027 with likely extension

- Up to $1100 per day
- Contract to June 2027 with likely extension

Key responsibilities

- Analyse business requirements and source data schemas to define enterprise data assets
- Translate requirements into reporting and analytics data products
- Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
- Reverse-engineer existing physical models and transform them into target-state models
- Document data elements, synonyms, lineage, quality rules and business rules




- Maintain data dictionaries and metadata libraries
- Establish and apply data modelling and design standards
- Define relationships between data entities using contemporary modelling tools
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on data definitions and master data requirements

Skills and experience

- Proven experience as a Data Modeller, Data Analyst or Data Engineer within a large data and analytics environment
- Experience delivering within complex enterprise ICT programs
- Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and data management
- Experience with metadata, data lineage, data quality and master data management
- Experience using data modelling tools such as ER/Studio Data Architect or similar
- Exposure to cloud-based data transformation, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work with diverse stakeholder groups
- High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
