About the Role Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for managing, overseeing, and ensuring the safety, efficiency, and integrity of electrical systems across a variety of projects. The successful applicant will possess strong technical skills, a proactive approach to safety, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Carry out new electrical installations, renovations, maintenance, and fault-finding. Select, cut, and connect wires and cables to terminals and connectors.
- Use electrical and electronic testing equipment to diagnose faults.
Repair and replace faulty wiring and defective components. Position and install electrical switchboards.
- Connect electrical systems to power supplies. Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain professional communication. Attend scheduled safety meetings and daily pre-start meetings.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Current Electrical Licence
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within the solar industry (highly desirable and advantageous)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Driver's Licence
