About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and capable LeadingHand to coordinate and lead the delivery of stormwaterdrainage construction, reconstruction and maintenance works acrossour rapidly growing region.

This is a key leadership role within our Maintenance team,providing the opportunity to make a real impact on communityinfrastructure while enjoying the unbeatable South Westlifestyle.

What you’ll be doing:

- Lead and coordinate the Drainage team to deliverconstruction and maintenance works safely, efficiently and to ahigh standard.
- Manage drainage capital works projects and programmedmaintenance activities within budget and timeframes.
- Interpret design plans, estimate materials, schedule worksand manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Oversee contractors, traffic management and internal crewson active roadways and confined spaces.
- Provide day-to-day leadership,



mentoring and on-the-jobtraining to team members.
- Assist with budgets, estimates, procurement and contractmanagement.

What you’ll bring to the role:

You will align with the City’s Values and be able to demonstratethe below competencies:

- Extensive experience in civil infrastructure constructionand maintenance, with strong expertise in stormwaterdrainage.
- Advanced plant operation experience (including backhoeloaders) and a thorough understanding of plant safety andpre-start checks
- Proven leadership, job planning, budgeting and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to read and interpret design and constructionplans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and acustomer-focused approach
- Confidence supervising teams, contractors and trafficmanagement in high-risk environments.

Pre-employment requirements:

- Current HR Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance not more than six months old
- White Card
- Proof of right to work in Australia
