Salary: $33.76 - $35.05 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options; or $66,938 - $69,496 per annum depending on classification.

About the Role
The Technical Assistant will assist Medical Officers and Registered Nurses in technical procedures and associated tasks including: Venepuncture, Cannulation, ECG recording, Venous blood gas sampling, Point‑of‑Care Testing, patient observations. The role reports directly to the Enrolled or Registered Nurses and completes assessments within SDPR.
Qualifications & Experience
- Venepuncture and/or cannulation qualifications and/or experience
- Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Previous work experience in a health service/hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and during periods of high demand and activity
- Understanding and commitment to apply the principles of Infection Prevention and Control
