About the role

Axsa Group NT Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sandblaster / Powder Coater & Fence Installer to join our team in Berrimah, NT. This is a full-time position that combines multiple skilled trades, offering you the opportunity to work across sandblasting, powder coating, and fence installation projects. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying protective coatings, and installing fencing systems to the highest standards.

This role is critical to delivering quality finishes on our projects and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the trades and services sector.

Key responsibilities

- Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare and clean metal and other surfaces to required specifications
- Apply powder coating finishes using appropriate techniques and equipment, ensuring even coverage and compliance with safety standards
- Install and erect fencing systems, including measuring, cutting, and fitting components to specification
- Inspect surfaces and finished work to ensure quality standards are met and identify any defects or areas requiring rework
- Maintain and care for sandblasting, powder coating, and installation equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues encountered
- Prepare materials and work areas prior to commencing tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in sandblasting and surface preparation techniques
- Demonstrated expertise in powder coating application and finishing
- Solid experience in fence installation, including post-setting and component assembly
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites




- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within the trades and services industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks
- Reliability and punctuality
- Experience with specialized equipment and machinery used in sandblasting and powder coating
