The Position

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking an exceptional relationship-focused leader to join the University as Head (Regional Engagement – Education Partnerships).

Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Engagement), this senior leadership role is responsible for building strong community connections, fostering strategic collaborations and strengthening UniSQ’s relationships across schools, Regional University Study Hubs, local government, communities and other key education stakeholders. The role plays a critical part in supporting regional growth and ensuring UniSQ remains a leading regional university.

This is a highly strategic stakeholder engagement position and as a key representative of the University, you will develop long-term partnerships, identify emerging opportunities, facilitate connections into UniSQ and help strengthen education pathways and community impact across regional, rural and remote communities.

A significant focus will be on the rapidly growing Ipswich and Springfield corridors where the there is an opportunity to represent UniSQ across a broad stakeholder landscape, provide strategic advice on partnership initiatives, champion the University’s regional contribution and work collaboratively across faculties and portfolios to deliver sustainable outcomes.

To be successful,



you will bring a demonstrated track record in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships, business development or community engagement within a large and complex organisation. You will possess outstanding communication skills, commercial acumen, sound judgement and the credibility to influence a broad range of senior stakeholders.

This is a unique prospect to take on one of UniSQ’s most important externally facing engagement roles and contribute directly to the University’s future growth, reputation and regional impact.
