Contract Onsite IT Support Technician

PC Repair Centre – Kew East, Melbourne

PC Repair Centre has been providing professional computer repairs and IT support to Melbourne customers since 1996.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Contract Onsite IT Support Technician to assist with residential and small business support throughout Melbourne.

This chance would suit an independent technician, sole trader or IT contractor seeking flexible and ongoing work to complement their existing client base.

About the Role

You will attend customer homes and business premises to diagnose, repair and support a range of computer systems, networks and related technology.

Jobs will be allocated by our Kew East office based on your availability, experience and preferred service areas.

Typical assignments may include:

- Diagnosing desktop and laptop computer problems

- Windows 10 and Windows 11 troubleshooting

- Microsoft 365, Outlook and email support

- Setting up new computers and transferring customer data

- Wi‑Fi, internet and network troubleshooting

- Printer and peripheral installation

- Virus and malware removal

- Hardware upgrades and component replacement

- Data backup and recovery assistance





- Remote IT support

- General residential and small business IT support

You will represent PC Repair Centre while attending customer sites and will be expected to provide professional, friendly and reliable service.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

- At least three years of IT support or computer repair experience

- Strong Windows diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook and email

- Good knowledge of networking, routers and Wi‑Fi

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- A professional and presentable manner

- The ability to work independently and manage onsite appointments

- A current Australian driver's licence

- Your own reliable vehicle

- Your own mobile phone and suitable technician tools

- An active ABN and the ability to submit invoices

- Appropriate public liability insurance

- The ability to travel between customer sites across Melbourne

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage:

- Microsoft 365 administration

- Microsoft Entra ID and Intune

- Windows Server and Active Directory

- Business networks, firewalls and VPNs

- Managed IT services





- Remote monitoring and support tools

- Apple Mac support

- Cybersecurity and backup solutions

There are no guaranteed minimum hours. The amount of work offered will depend on customer demand, your availability, location, performance and technical capabilities.

About You

You are an experienced technician who can quickly assess technical problems, communicate clearly with customers and complete work to a high professional standard.

You understand that strong customer service is just as important as technical ability. You are punctual, trustworthy, organised and comfortable working without direct supervision.

You must also be willing to follow PC Repair Centre's service, documentation, privacy and customer communication procedures.

Location and Service Area

Our office and workshop are located in Kew East, Victoria.

Most assignments will be located across Melbourne's eastern and south‑eastern suburbs, although work may occasionally be available elsewhere in metropolitan Melbourne.

Applicants may nominate their preferred suburbs and maximum travel distance.
