Supporting the Transition from School to Adult Life Leaving school is an key milestone and can bring both opportunities and uncertainty.
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) assists young people to build confidence, develop practical skills and explore pathways that support greater independence, community participation and future opportunities.
At Work For The Soul, SLES focuses on practical learning, personal development and supported participation. Our approach is designed to help young people identify their strengths, explore their interests and aspirations, and take positive steps toward their future goals.
Building Confidence Through Participation Many skills are developed through real experience, encouragement and the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities.
SLES may support participants to strengthen communication, teamwork, problem solving, organisation, decision-making and everyday workplace readiness skills.
Opportunities may include community-based projects, social enterprise activities, practical learning experiences, skills development programs and other participation opportunities aligned to individual goals and interests.
Participants are encouraged to explore opportunities to contribute, connect with others and develop skills through meaningful participation within their community.
