About the role
We are seeking a Scientific Affairs & Marketing Compliance Associate to support the scientific review and compliance oversight of marketing and promotional materials at BON CHARGE.
Working under the direction of the Head of Scientific Affairs, Research & Innovation, this role will help ensure that BON CHARGE's communications are scientifically accurate, regulatory-compliant, commercially relevant and aligned with company strategy across all consumer-facing channels.
Day to day, the role will involve reviewing peer-reviewed scientific literature, drafting and assessing product claims, maintaining the company's claims and evidence library, and supporting the development of scientifically accurate promotional materials and communications that are appropriate for the intended audience. The role will support a diverse portfolio across consumer-facing medical devices, wellness products and beauty devices in key markets, including Australia, the UK, EU, Canada and the USA.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of IQ and EQ. The role requires frequent engagement with international partners and manufacturers, strong time management, and the ability to operate confidently across cultures and time zones. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Review scientific literature and technical information to support product claims, marketing communications and regulatory activities.
- Maintain a centralised database of approved claims, supporting evidence and scientific references.
- Review marketing and promotional materials to ensure content is accurate, substantiated, audience-appropriate and compliant across key markets.
- Provide practical alternative wording or solutions where scientific or compliance risks are identified, escalating complex or borderline matters where required.
- Partner with marketing, content and commercial teams to develop clear, credible and commercially effective communications.
- Identify new evidence-based claims, scientific insights and communication opportunities for consideration.
- Support the development, review and maintenance of Instructions for Use, user manuals, warnings, directions and other consumer-facing product information.
- Review product labelling, packaging and artwork for consistency with approved claims, product specifications and applicable market requirements.
- Monitor relevant regulations, industry codes, competitor activity and emerging scientific developments, assessing their potential business impact.
- Support regulatory submissions, technical documentation, product claims reviews and product launch activities.
- Maintain accurate records of reviews, decisions, approvals and supporting evidence to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
- Apply and help improve SOPs, review processes and internal guidance relating to scientific communication, claims substantiation, marketing compliance, labelling and packaging.
- Support internal training and science communication to strengthen understanding of product evidence, approved claims and compliance requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits of published materials, including product pages, blogs, social media, customer reviews,
user manuals and other consumer-facing content.
Qualifications
- Degree in a scientific, biomedical or health-related discipline. A postgraduate qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in scientific affairs, regulatory affairs, medical or scientific writing, claims substantiation, or promotional compliance within a regulated industry.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and industry codes, such as the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code, with a willingness to develop further expertise.
- Experience reviewing scientific, marketing or promotional content for accuracy, evidence and compliance.
- Strong scientific judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to recognise when escalation is required.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific information for non-technical audiences.
- Confidence working collaboratively with marketing, product, creative and commercial teams, with the ability to provide constructive advice and influence outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
