Tax Lawyer Brisbane | Boutique Commercial & Tax Practice

An exciting opportunity exists for an ambitious and commercially minded Tax Lawyer to join a highly regarded boutique practice advising a sophisticated client base of high-net-worth individuals, family groups, private businesses, and SMEs.

This role offers exposure to complex tax advisory work, significant tax reform developments, and strategic client advisory matters that go well beyond traditional compliance-focused practice.

Working closely with experienced senior practitioners, you will advise clients across a broad range of taxation matters including:

- Tax structuring and restructuring
- Tax implications of business acquisitions and sales
- Capital gains tax, trust and estate planning
- Small business tax concessions
- Division 7A and private group taxation issues
- Succession and intergenerational wealth planning
- State taxes, including payroll tax and land tax
- Tax dispute resolution and dealings with the ATO
- Implementation of strategies arising from legislative and tax reform changes

You will work directly with entrepreneurs, business owners, family offices, investors, and SME clients, providing practical and commercially focused advice that delivers real outcomes.
You will ideally possess:

- 2+ years PAE in taxation, commercial law, private client advisory, or related areas




- Strong technical legal and analytical skills
- An interest in Australia's evolving tax landscape and tax reform initiatives
- Experience advising private clients, SMEs, family groups, or high-net-worth individuals
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- A commercial approach to client service and problem solving
- The ability to build trusted long-term client relationships
