English Teacher (Year 7-12) – Full-time, Fixed Term Parental Leave Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term parental leave position, commencing in Term 4, 2026 and continuing through to the end of Term 2, 2027. Preference will be given to applicants available for the full duration, however, applications from candidates available for only one part of the appointment are also encouraged. The successful applicant will teach English across Years 7–12. The ability to teach an additional subject area would be highly regarded but is not essential.

The key role of this position is to provide contemporary teaching programs as part of a energetic team of educators.

Key responsibilities

- Demonstrate a passion and experience for teaching English across Year 7-12
- Teaching an education program that enables all students to achieve their highest potential
- Establishing a caring, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Providing feedback to students and parents via the Continuous Reporting system
- Developing and maintaining relationships and open communication with parents, colleagues and students
- A commitment to collaborating with colleagues in the planning, delivery and review of curriculum through the co-creation and refinement of shared resources
- A willingness to contribute actively to the cultural, pastoral and co-curricular life of the School
- Commitment to Occupational, Health and Safety and maintaining a safe and supportive environment
