My client is an established chartered firm with a 30 year history and offices in both Melbourne & Sydney. They provide services in business advisory, taxation, consulting, restructuring and SMSF. They take pride in delivering innovative accounting and advisory solutions that are tailored to their clients' needs. These clients are diverse in industry and locality and can include entrepreneurs, professional services, construction, and hospitality. Within this they have a particular footprint in assisting business clients who are entering rapid growth phases.

Their Sydney office has been going from strenght to strenght in the past 2 years. Under the leadership of a young and energetic Partner who has been with the broader business for over 15 years. He is a fantastic mentor (easy going, analytical, and driven by precision) and is really passionate about developing his team.

Due to continued growth he is now looking to hire a Senior Accountant to his team. In this role you will deliver reliable and high-quality compliance and advisory work to a portfolio of clients. The Partners team is currently split between Sydney and Melbourne and is supported by offshore counterparts. There is huge scope for growth into a as the team continues to grow. With further hires slated for the next 6 months.

Key duties include:

- Assist with the provision of specialist advice and solutions to clients in relation to the management of their tax & compliance obligations
- Liaising with clients to address their queries and provide expert guidance
- Working collaboratively with external service providers and other departments to deliver a seamless service to clients
- Delegating to team members where appropriate and managing workflow accordingly
- Participate in, CPD initiatives to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A relevant tertiary education in Accounting/Finance
- CA/CPA qualification (or close to completion of)
- 4 + years experience in a business services/tax role in public practice
- Experience delegating to and reviewing junior staff
- Highly developed written and verbal communication sills
