HEW 6 salary + 17% superannuation About The Role Reporting to the Medical Practice Manager, the Senior Administration Officer provides senior administrative, operational and financial support across Swinburne Health Service. As the first point of contact for many patients and stakeholders, you will deliver qualified reception, customer service and administrative support, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience while contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the service. In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of high-quality reception, patient administration, customer service and finance functions, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with relevant policies and procedures.

You will play an important role in supporting the financial operations of the service, including billing, revenue collection, reconciliations, accounts processing, financial reporting and monitoring of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will also contribute to the review and improvement of financial processes, support the identification and resolution of discrepancies, and provide guidance and day-to-day support to administrative staff to promote consistent practices and high service standards. Working collaboratively with clinicians, management, administrative colleagues and University stakeholders, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help foster a professional, responsive and service-focused team culture.

Please note that this is an on-site position at our Hawthorn campus.

About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated experience in medical reception, practice administration or healthcare administration

Demonstrated ability to coordinate administrative operations, prioritise competing demands and exercise sound judgement in resolving operational issues

Strong knowledge of appointment scheduling, patient records and healthcare administration processes

Strong customer service skills, including managing complex enquiries Qualifications Qualification in Medical Administration,



Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

CPR Certification (can be obtained if successful prior to starting) Further information about this role can be found in the attached position description.
