Senior Advisor, Health & Safety | 3-Month Contract | Hybrid Flexibility

We're seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Health & Safety to join a cooperative People & Culture team on a 3-month contract . This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HSE professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, solving complex challenges, and delivering practical safety outcomes in a dynamic operational environment
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the continuous improvement of an established Health & Safety Management System aligned with best-practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on both physical and psychosocial health and safety risks across the organisation
- Partner closely with leaders to strengthen safety capability, improve risk management practices, and foster a positive safety culture.
- Conduct and support complex incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
- Develop and enhance policies, procedures, training materials, and practical tools that support operational excellence.
- Analyse safety performance data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple sites to deliver critical health, safety, andwellbeing initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in a senior Health & Safety advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management frameworks.
- Proven experience managing safety systems, investigations, audits, and improvement projects.
- Ability to influence, coach,
and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
- Experience managing psychosocial and physical safety risks within a complex environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline. Why Apply?

Desired Skills and Experience Skills & Experience ✔ Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline
✔ Demonstrated experience in a Senior HSE/WHS Advisor role within complex, multi-site or high-risk environments
✔ Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, compliance frameworks and contemporary risk management practices
✔ Proven experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
✔ Experience managing both psychosocial and physical health & safety risks
✔ Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels
✔ Experience developing, implementing and continuously improving safety management systems aligned with ISO 45001 principles
✔ Ability to analyse safety performance data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
✔ Excellent communication and report-writing skills with the ability to present recommendations to senior leadership
✔ Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
