About the role

We are seeking a Sales Team Member to join our Carlton VIC store on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be the face of Lounge Lovers, engaging with customers and guiding them through their furniture purchasing journey. This is a customer-focused position that plays a vital part in driving sales and ensuring every visitor to our showroom has a memorable experience. You'll work flexible part-time hours that complement your lifestyle whilst making a real impact on our business performance.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and assessing their furniture needs and preferences
- Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations on our range of lounges and homewares
- Demonstrating product features and benefits to customers in an engaging and informative manner
- Building rapport with customers and creating a positive shopping environment
- Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Handling customer inquiries, questions and concerns professionally and courteously
- Maintaining showroom displays and ensuring the retail space is clean, organised and visually appealing




- Supporting the sales team to meet targets and contribute to store performance
- Providing feedback to management about customer preferences and market trends

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a sales or retail environment, ideally within furniture, homewares or a similar sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customer types
- Robust sales ability with a genuine desire to help customers find solutions that meet their needs
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customer interactions
- Product knowledge or willingness to quickly learn about furniture styles, materials and features
- Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and a customer-first mindset
- Cash handling experience and familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems is advantageous
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend availability
