We are looking for an experienced Parts Manager to join our team and help deliver exceptional service. In this role you will lead and manage the Parts and Stores function within the branch, ensuring the efficient supply of parts to internal departments and external customers.
You will oversee parts sales, inventory management and warehouse operations while working closely with internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and the growth of the parts business. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support the parts and stores team to ensure high productivity and customer service standards.
- Receive and action escalated parts enquiries from internal and external customers, providing accurate interpretation, pricing and quotations.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels across the stores, leading your team in conducting regular stocktakes.
- Monitor parts sales performance and identify opportunities to grow parts revenue.
- Identifying slow-moving, obsolete or excess stock.
- Improving inventory accuracy, warehouse layout and stock-control processes.
- Review systems and processes to continuously improve efficiency and departmental performance.
- Maintain a clean, organised, safe and secure parts department.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- At least five years of relevant experience in parts, inventory control, warehousing, stores or purchasing
- Demonstrated experience in full ownership of a parts or inventory function
- Strong experience using an ERP, inventory management or stock-control system
- Strong organisational and workload-planning skills
- Confidence communicating with suppliers, tradespeople, production staff and management
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory-related software
- A practical understanding of parts interpretation, purchasing, purchase orders, receipting and dispatch processes
- A reliable, accountable and hands-on approach to your work
- The ability to identify and implement improvements to inventory and warehouse processes
