The Role

Are you an experienced operator looking for your next opportunity? We are looking for skilled Almond Orchard Machinery Operators to join a dynamic team in Kenley, VIC, located approximately 25-30 mins from Robinvale at the heart of Australia's thriving horticulture industry!

This is an exciting, hands-on role operating machinery and spraying across almond orchard blocks, playing a vital part in protecting and growing a premium crop.

Key Responsibilities

This role supports orchard operations through safe machinery use and effective spraying activities.

- Operate tractors and machinery for spraying and orchard tasks
- Apply chemicals safely in line with operational and compliance requirements
- Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate records of spraying and machine usage
- Follow WHS procedures and use PPE correctly
- Assist with general orchard duties including irrigation and pruning
- Competitive pay rate of $32.04 per hour + penalty rates
- Seasonal role for approximately 6-8 months




- Consistent work with approximately 38 hours per week
- Opportunity to transition into harvest work in 2027
- Hands-on role in a structured orchard environment

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will be experienced in machinery operation and confident working in outdoor agricultural environments.

- Experience in chemical application and spraying operations
- Obtaining a Chem Certificate
- Proven tractor or machinery operation experience
- Good spoken English and ability to follow instructions via radio
- Physically fit and able to work extended hours during peak periods
- Solid focus on safety, compliance, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
